If you are in the mood for an easy hike, or have a toddler with limited stamina, Nature's Way...A Discovery Trail, located right behind the Clinton Visitor's Center, is a good bet. The trail is 1/2-mile long and contains several informational markers along the way that tell a little bit about the plants and animals that make their homes in the woodlands. The path includes a stream, a bridge, and enough inclines to feel like you're really hiking, and there is a picnic table halfway through if you feel like bringing some snacks to enjoy in the forest.

The hike is short and sweet, but you can spend hours exploring if you're so inclined.
If you drive past the Visitor's Center, you will quickly come to the Overlook area. To the west, you will find a playground, picnic shelters, and some trailheads for more challenging trails. To the east, you will find the actual Overlook, complete with a nicely landscaped viewing pavillion. There's a nice, grassy hill here - yet another potential spot for a picnic.

If you and your family crave a mildly challenging walk and a big-daddy view, follow the grassy slope down to the trail that leads you to the bench on the hill. As long as it is not excessively muddy, an all-terrain stroller can handle this trail.
The walk takes about 30 minutes and involves a pretty steep incline, but the feeling of accomplishment when you get to the top is worth it.

To get to the Overlook, drive west on Clinton Parkway. When it ends, turn right. You will see the turn for Visitor's Center on the left after about 1/4 mile.
