Transformations Posted by Megan on April 05, 2007
As I write this, my six year old interrupts me every two or three minutes to show me full color photographs of the transformers he has been printing off of the Hasbro website.
"This one can turn itself into a sports car...this one is called "Flyboy"...I like this one, here, that turns itself into a planet. This one is combat...he covers his eyes and shoots enemies and hits them!"
"Wow." I say as enthusiastically as possible, "I wish they had had transformers when I was a little girl."

The Potty Wars Posted by Megan on February 05, 2007
In the military, men scrub the latrine. It's a duty. They even do it with a toothbrush when they are naughty. Unless my boys enlist, the only way they'll pee more carefully is to make them scrub the potty themselves EVERYTIME. Yeah, right. In my wildest dreams!

What's a 21st Century Lawrence Kid to Do? Posted by Megan on January 06, 2007

Dr. Dreadful's Diabolical Squeemy Snack Lab Posted by Megan on December 23, 2006
Opening gifts that come mailed to our house from out of town relatives before Christmas is a tradition at our place. The kids savor them, one at a time, and try to remember the people who sent them. It also gives them time to write the Thank you card. But...what did I do to deserve Dr. Dreadful?

Cheaper by the dozen! Posted by Megan on November 20, 2006
Every year at this time, I feel like Ebeneezer Scrooge when I think of how the retailers of America manipulate me. There is nothing more frustrating that being whipped into a false frenzy over the availability of a PS3 game system. This year...I REFUSE to play their reindeer games! (or any games that require a PS3 game system!)
