Take the Family Dancing
Posted by Eric on October 31, 2007. Category: Events

This just in:

The Lawrence Barn Dance Association announces a Family Dance this Saturday, Nov 3, at The Lawrence Public Library auditorium, 8th and Vermont, in downtown Lawrence. Dance for awhile, then potluck for awhile. What a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon! This Family Dance runs from 3:30 to 4:45 pm, followed by a potluck from 5:00pm to 6:00pm when the library closes.

Caller: Jill Allen
Live Music: Tricia Spencer, Jim Jeans, and Greg Allen

Visit the Family Dance web site here to find pictures from recent dances, directions to dances, a Spring 2007 calendar, and other information. For more info or to volunteer to help with the dances phone Jill at 785-841-5759...

How can you help make our family dances a success? Please bring a friend!...

For potluck: bring one dish per adult, drinking cups, and tableware. Drinking water is provided in the drinking fountain.

Family Dances are now on the first Saturdays, August to May. We feature American and International Traditional Dances which are
fun and easy for everyone in the family.

No partner is necessary, but young children should bring an adult. There is no admission charge, but donations are happily accepted to pay the musicians.
